Traditionally his work appears on surfaces of metal ranging from jewelry to firearms, and is achieved with a hammer and chisel. American Scroll takes takes the art of engraving from metal to thread.

The artwork for this graphic was taken from a steel plate that was engraved by Weldon. The artwork was originally transferred via ink and tape, scanned, and digitally tweaked to create the current image here.
